"WORKING HR BREAKFAST - IMPACT DRIVEN HR PROJECTS"

Back

"Intense turbulence in recent years has changed the lens through which we view business and HR. The ambiguity of the word liquidity in these circumstances could serve as a good metaphor for the business reality decision-makers are facing.

There is an increasing focus by companies on liquidity, as short-term financial balance. In 2023, variable interest rates, wage growth, geopolitical risks, fluctuations, pronounced generational differences, on several fronts indicate that the pandemic was good preparatory training for the market competition.

In parallel with financial liquidity, the term liquidity, in the context of agile, fluid management, is experiencing its rise from the perspective of managing human capital and business processes. Here, the parallel of the current of water and ""liquid"" management can be very inspiring.

Namely, if we observe the flow of water, it can be determined that water always finds a way to find its path, minimally losing energy on obstacles, successfully overcoming them.

Moreover, the era we live in is marked by rapid discoveries and sudden changes that defy the norms of any previous era. What makes this moment truly exceptional is the speed at which these changes occur, a speed represented by an elusive exponential curve.

The human mind assimilates information and knowledge linearly and it is not easy to keep up with the exponential curve of technological progress. This paradox between the exponential growth of technology and the linear way of thinking and assimilating information sets the stage for a complex game between innovation and human adaptability, which is the leadership challenge we face today. This stage is not only ""liquid,"" it is also ""slippery.""

At the working breakfast organized by Manpower company, we gathered experts in the field of HR and all those motivated to creatively and meaningfully improve HR in their company. We discussed agility, liquid leadership, non-financial metrics of company success, and generation management with Iva Terzić, Head of HR Business Partnership Department from OTP Bank, and Srđan Dinulović, Director of Assert International.

In anticipation of the upcoming cycle of the #HumanDrivenReshape project, our winning projects were presented by Krstinja Šćepanović, HR Director of OTP Bank, and Stefan Tabački, Procurement Specialist from Atlantic Group, who showed us the importance of recognizing the needs of employees and systems, which further leads to the creation of meaningful, interesting, and very useful projects for employees, the company, and the local community.

The event was moderated by Aleksandar Plavšin, Head of Marketing & Communication from Manpower company. Support for the realization was provided by the Slovenian Business Club.

In an energetic and inspiring atmosphere, we continued socializing and discussing HR topics.

We look forward to the next HR gathering!"
